In a world of relativity and confusion, young people today need and desire a standard that can be depended upon. Our youth ministry is offering that uncompromised STANDARD, Jesus Christ, to students all across El Dorado and Union County. We desire young people to come to know Christ intimately so that as they enter into adulthood, they know the truth of abiding in Him.

We exist to develop students based on Luke 2:52: "Growing students (just as Jesus) in Wisdom, Stature, and Favor with God and man."

Our areas of ministry attempt to nurture every phase of spiritual growth. Our ministry opportunities are enjoyable, challenging and life-changing. Each department in our youth ministry meets the needs of young people. Our youth group is designed for students in grades 7-12.

Wednesday is a time of fellowship, worship and teaching with The Edge. The Edge is held at the 2fifty2 Youth Facility every Wednesday night.

LIFE small groups are held on Sunday mornings to take students deeper into the Word of God. Classes are geared toward the students age group to meet their specific needs of growth spiritually and socially. Sunday evenings are a time for youth to get involved in ministry through drama, worship and specialized ministry classes.

Monthly and annual events are scheduled to keep students involved and mission trips give the young people opportunities to be involved in reaching out to others for Christ. Activities include Christian concerts, lead team meetings, student lunch bunch, ski trip, Super Summer Arkansas Camp, See You at the Pole, Breakfast of Champions, Jr. High JUMP weekend, Reality Check weekend and retreat, Girl's retreat and getaway. Ministry opportunities include Kids Kamp, Spring Break and Summer missions, PV31 Girl's Ministries.

Our church is a place that loves students. Our youth ministry is not an island at First Baptist, but instead a vital and connected ministry within the church. Our ministry is very intentional around here . . . we want teenagers to have a real and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ!
